FAQ

Who are homeless veterans?

Homeless veterans are more prevalent than most people may expect. Veterans make up almost 11% of the total homeless population in the United States[1]. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development estimates that on any given night over 40,000 veterans will be considered homeless.

What services do these veterans need?

Among the top priorities for veterans suffering from homelessness is finding access to secure, safe, and affordable housing. While, government funding can help to mitigate this issue, funding is extremely limited. This necessitates community as well as nonprofit outreach.

Why log homes?

Log homes can be easily constructed in an efficient, affordable manner, making them the perfect fit for veterans in need of housing. Three bedroom log homes have been built for as little as $25,000.
